Cooking along with a video can be challenging - you're constantly pausing, rewinding, and cleaning your hands to tap the screen. Cooket's Cook-Along mode solves all of these problems.
What is Cook-Along Mode?
Cook-Along mode transforms any recipe video into an interactive cooking experience. The video automatically pauses between steps, gives you countdown timers, and works hands-free so you can focus on cooking.
Key Features
Auto-Pause Between Steps
The video automatically pauses after each cooking step, giving you time to complete the action before moving on. A 3-second countdown shows when the next step is about to begin.
Built-in Timers
When a step requires waiting (like simmering for 10 minutes), the timer appears on screen. You'll get a notification when it's time to move on.
Video Controls
- 10-second forward/backward buttons for quick seeking
- Video position slider for precise control
- Toggle auto-pause on or off based on your preference
Screen Rotation
On tablets and iPads, Cook-Along mode supports landscape orientation with a 50/50 split view - video on one side, instructions on the other.
How to Start Cook-Along
Find any recipe in your feed and tap the chef hat icon with the play button. You'll enter Cook-Along mode where the recipe becomes your personal cooking guide.
